About the Event
Sculpt. Glow. Transform - under the Hunter's Moon.
On Saturday 24 October, the Hunter's Moon rises over Amsterdam. It's the full moon that follows the Harvest — named for the weeks when the crops were in, the fields lay bare, and the moonlight was bright enough to track game by. The last big moon before winter.
We're marking it the only way we know how — by sculpting one of our own.
The Cosmic Timing
The Hunter's Moon reaches its exact full phase at 05:12 on Monday morning — which is a wonderful time for astronomers and a terrible time for everyone else. On Saturday night it rises at 97% and looks every bit as full as it's going to get, at a far more civilised hour.
